Jim is a licensed Private Investigator, Certified Fraud Examiner, Expert Witness, and FINRA Arbitrator with 29 years of service as an FBI Special Agent. He has extensive experience leading teams in the investigation and prosecution of criminals involved in money laundering, bank fraud, Ponzi schemes, gang criminal activity, financial fraud, criminal racketeering, international criminal activity, asset forfeiture, narcotics trafficking, and violent crime. He is an expert in specialized investigative techniques to include electronic surveillance, wiretaps, confidential source operation, consensual monitoring, and crime scene forensics. He has well-developed skills interviewing and interrogating suspects, gathering intelligence, analyzing and disseminating information, and providing testimony in court. Specialized training in tactics and operations to include neutralizing active shooters.

Jim is a dedicated leader with exceptional communication skills and 10+ years of experience with the Evidence Response Team (ERT), conducting crime scene investigations at national and international scenes such as Oklahoma City bombing, Atlanta abortion clinic bombing, East Africa embassy bombings and the recovery of the Space Shuttle Columbia astronauts.   He also worked numerous homicide crime scenes, as well as conducted homicide investigations. He received numerous awards including the 2010 & 2015 Investigation of the Year Award from the U.S. Attorney’s Office and awards for Meritorious Valor from the Directors of the FBI and Texas Department of Public Safety for action under fire.
