Agent / Analyst Profile

I am a former FBI and cybersecurity executive, and have successfully led projects involving both culture and technology change. I led strategic initiatives including the FBI’s transformation to an intelligence-led, threat-driven organization and the implementation of the agency’s Intelligence Collection, Analytics, and Reporting systems. I also led the successful development of the FBI Central Records Complex, incorporating cutting edge information management technologies and streamlined business processes (including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Automated Business Process Design). I also led the successful development of the FBI Central Records Complex, incorporating cutting edge information management technologies and streamlined business processes (including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Automated Business Process Design). In the private sector, I led a services department to help Fortune 500 clients identify cyber vulnerabilities and provide strategic roadmaps to improve their security posture.

I have three professional passions:

Completing complex investigations: understanding what happened, and distilling this information into a form that can be easily understood. Whether an international fraud scheme or information breach, understanding what happened is the first step of an organization’s recovery.

Helping businesses and organizations become more resilient: I develop teams to provide cybersecurity, physical security, and business operations solutions.

Developing efficient systems with technology: Whatever the system, it needs to help the organization become more effective and allow the end user to be more effective in their job.

I primarily provide support to legal firms and private sector firms, either as a security consultant or an investigator. On occasion, I also assist individuals with investigations.

Accomplishing this requires a combination of interview skills, research and analysis, surveillance, technology exploitation, and thoughtful reporting. For over 30 years, I have continuously worked at developing and refining these capabilities. The journey always continues, but it helps me stay up to date with technology changes and better understand the changing needs of my clients.

I listen to try to best understand the needs of a client. I want to make sure I am the best person to improve their situation in a meaningful way. Whether developing a cybersecurity strategy, implementing a new technology, or unraveling a complex scenario to support litigation, the end result is what matters. The best result is what I strive to provide.
