About LaRAE QUY:

SPEAKER / AUTHOR / MENTAL TOUGHNESS COACH:

LaRAE QUY is a former counterintelligence and FBI undercover agent who exposed foreign spies wanting to recruit them to work for the U.S. Government. Needing to know a spy’s mission, she would minutely examine a spy’s behavior and makeup to discover their true identity. Her job was to dig beneath a spy’s identity—probing the unknown. If she did her job right, during the process, she’d learn more about the spy than they knew about themselves.

LaRae was born and raised on a cattle ranch in Wyoming where she learned many of the survival skills she needed as an FBI agent. Working 20-years as an undercover and counterintelligence agent and another 4-years as the spokesperson for the FBI’s San Francisco Division, she spent 24-years in the FBI. AUTHOR / SPEAKER:

LaRAE QUY is a powerful speaker who explains to audiences what FBI agents must do to secure mental toughness—breaking through self-limiting barriers and overcoming obstacles. As a former counterintelligence and FBI undercover agent, she tells audiences people are “not” born with mental toughness, but it’s a quality that can be learned and developed with experience.

Topics include:

1.] The Number One Skill in Life is Not Giving Up –

• A dynamic presentation, she speaks about “smart failures,” explaining they can lead to stunning successes. She says when an “average” performer fails, they usually try something new. But when a “successful” person fails, they attack the problem again and again—until they do succeed. Rather than run from failure, she explains people need to “embrace” their failures—learning from them. Encountering adversity, she says many people just give up, moving from project to project until they do find success. She says people with mental toughness work at their failures until they overcome them.

Attending – she says participants will:

• Learn how to fail in order to succeed;
• Create flexible mindsets;
• Understand how heart is the key to success;

2.] A Leader’s Playbook for Mental Toughness –

Here LaRae removes the mystery of what it takes to be mentally tough and thrive in today’s marketplace. She says a person has to do everything they can to be successful, reminding audiences staying positive, a person can succeed. While it’s “not” a surprise to anyone who’s already successful, she says there is ample evidence to suggest maintaining a positive outlook on life is one of the most important components of mental toughness. Despite it being a difficult economy, she says success depends on a person’s ability to cope with life, putting a positive spin on everything, in both our personal and business life. In a dynamic keynote presentation, she says you and your team will learn how to create and leverage unbeatable mindsets.

Attending – she says participants will:

• Discover how to choose your attitude;
• Engage curiosity;
• Show gratitude;

3.] Develop the Brain of a Leader –

This dynamic presentation helps leaders and teams uncover the power of the number one predictor of effective leadership—our mindset. Every time we say, “I can’t,” she says we’re impacting the way we’re going to behave—almost predicting failure. When we say, “I can’t,” she maintains we sub-conscientiously put limitations on our efforts—expecting to fail … and surprised when we don’t which is the opposite of what our mindset should be. Saying we can’t do something, she says a person is really saying, “I don’t have the confidence to do this.”

Using anecdotes, she asks the audience whether they’ve ever said:

• I don’t speak well in front of a bunch of people, so don’t blame me if it goes badly.
• I don’t perform well under pressure, so don’t blame me if nothing happens.
• I don’t take on a project like that, so don’t blame me if it’s not a success.

Every time we repeat phrases like those mentioned above, she says a person’s brain produces negative feedback that damages any chance for success—creating a poisonous loop. In this presentation, the audience will learn how to stop using the word “I can’t” and replace it with “Yes, I can.”

Attending – she says participants will:

• Move from emotional to logical thinking when under stress
• Press into the unknown with confidence
• Master their skills
