Dennis J. Franks was an attorney and 22-year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Since his FBI retirement as a Supervisory Special Agent he has worked in the private investigation and security consulting field and is currently President of Investigative & Security Global Solutions (ISGS), Inc. in Texas.

Most recently, Mr. Franks served as co-creator, executive producer, host and investigator of A&E Investigates – The Plot Against America.

Mr. Franks has consulted for local CBS, ABC and Fox news, as well as Fox Business News, and has provided commentary to the Daily Beast,  Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Esquire and the Houston Chronicle. He has also been featured on the radio show, The Security Brief, with Paul Viollis.

Mr. Franks served in various capacities during his FBI career. His last assignment was as supervisor of the Houston Division’s Special Operations Group, which included surveillance operations. Mr. Franks also supervised several investigative squads during his career, to include criminal enterprise squads, a multi-agency task force and intelligence group. He held collateral assignments as Assistant Crisis Management Coordinator, Assistant Legal Advisor and Undercover Program Coordinator. In these capacities, Mr. Franks was involved in numerous counterterrorism, counter-intelligence and criminal program investigations.

In addition to his management experience, Mr. Franks served as an investigator and case agent of several complex cases that utilized sophisticated investigative techniques and undercover operations. He was also a member of the FBI’s Special Weapons and Tactics team for eight years. Mr. Franks was an international police instructor at the International Law Enforcement Academy, Bangkok, Thailand; at the Middle East Law Enforcement Academy, Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and in Bucharest, Romania in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Defense.

Mr. Franks has a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Campbell University School of Law. Prior to his career in the FBI, Mr. Franks was a licensed attorney and a state prosecutor in North Carolina. He is a licensed private investigator, security consultant and personal protection officer in the State of Texas.

"Members on this website are “retired” FBI agents, many who are “licensed” Private Investigators [PIs], independent contractors and vendors who promote and sell their services as consultants to members of the public, public and/or private industry and/or local, state and/or federal government.

As consultants, they “contract” out their services to conduct criminal/civil investigations, provide litigation support, conduct due diligence inquires, provide executive protection and conduct background screenings, offer expert opinions concerning investigations, do electronic sweeps and counter measures, provide drug screenings, offer forensic accounting services, and conduct surveillances, as well as locate assets and/or conduct other research.

As a result, members command fees for their services.  This is “not” a free service.

Before any services will be expended, most members will require a “nonrefundable” retainer fee totaling $1500 - $2500.  The amount of the retainer fee will be set by members during contract negotiations.  And some members command “nonrefundable” retainer fees totaling $5000.

Unless you are a journalist looking for media “commentary,” and/or someone with an offer of employment, please be advised members do not provide “free” services but will require a retainer fee before any services will be expended.  These services are “not” free.
