David Gomez is a retired FBI executive and consultant with practitioner experience in complex, high-risk, critical incident management and response. A nationally recognized national security and intelligence subject matter expert, David has over 28 years of progressive management experience implementing security-related services for the U.S. Government, providing technical and operational support, and leading FBI intelligence and counterintelligence collection and analysis organizations. He is a former Senior Fellow at the George Washington University Center for Cyber and Homeland Security, and frequent contributor to the national and local media on law enforcement, security, cyber, and counterterrorism issues and topics.

David retired from the FBI in late 2011 as the Senior Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge of the Seattle Field Office where he managed the Field Intelligence Group, all National Security Programs, and the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Forces in Washington State. David is also a former FBI profiler who worked in the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit at the FBI Academy, where he frequently testified as an expert witness on equivocal crime scene analysis and behavioral-driven crime. He brings an in-depth understanding of criminal behavior, insider threats, theft of trade secrets, economic espionage, and operational security (OpSec) best practices to corporate security operations.
