Locate Retired FBI Agents / Analysts

Bob’s initial assignment with the FBI was as a physical science technician at the FBI Laboratory in Washington, D.C. During his tenure there, he was an x-ray technician and assisted with the analysis of evidence submitted to the Laboratory. Upon transfer to Texas as a Special Agent, he was responsible for the investigation of General Property Crimes to include Theft from Interstate Shipments, Crime of the High Seas and Crime Aboard Aircraft. He successfully initiated one of the first undercover operations in the Houston Division targeting insurance fraud.

As a Certified Technically Trained Agent, Bob was one of the first agents directed by FBIHQ to lead a team of Technically Trained Agents responding to kidnappings, prison takeovers and other large nationally recognized incidents. He has participated in numerous installations of technical surveillance equipment associated with undercover operations and against targets deemed hostile to our country.

Upon retirement, Bob continued to work for the FBI in a contract capacity. He also served as an adjunct instructor for the Enhanced Threat and Risk Assessment (ETRA) course offered by the Public Safety and Security (PS&S) Division, part of the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), which is part of the Texas A&M University System. The National Domestic Preparedness Consortium on behalf of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security certified him to instruct Enhanced Threat and Risk Assessment. Bob is licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety Bureau as a Private Investigator in the State of Texas, Texas License # A15532.

Bob received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, Pennsylvania, continued his graduate studies in Microbiology at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and earned his Master’s degree in Forensic Science from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. He is a Member of American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) International, the National Technical Investigators Association (NATIA), Texas Association of Licensed Investigators (TALI), National Investigators and Security Professionals (NISP), National Council of Investigations and Security Services (NCISS), United States Association of Profressional Investigators (USAPI), Society of Former Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (SFSAFBI), Espionage Research Institute International (ERII) and Intellenet.

Bob is the founder and President of Relick and Associates located in Houston, Texas, a company which specializes in technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM). He is also a founding member of TSCM Network, an affiliation of retired Agents who provide TSCM Services.
